How to create and manage companies in your account
Companies are the primary organizational unit in Gridwork. Each company belongs to an account and serves as a container for one or more locations.
What is a company?
A company represents a business entity — for example, a franchise brand or a subsidiary. Under each company you can create locations, which in turn hold employees, services, and marketing posts.
Viewing your companies
Navigate to Companies in the sidebar. You will see a list of all companies in your current account, showing each company's name and the number of locations it has.
Creating a company
- From the Companies page, click Add Company.
- Enter a company name (required).
- Optionally add a logo URL and legal details.
- Click Save to create the company.
Tip: After creating a company, add at least one location so you can start assigning employees and services.
Editing a company
Click any company row to open its detail page, or use the Edit action on the row. From there you can update the name, logo, and legal information.
Deleting a company
Deleting a company permanently removes it along with all of its locations, employees, posts, and service assignments. This action cannot be undone — make sure you no longer need the data before proceeding.
Next steps
- Open a company to see its locations — see Company Detail.
- Learn how to manage locations under a company — see Locations.
