Account settings — Objects
Turn optional features like Jobs, References, and Posts on or off
Gridwork ships several optional features as toggleable objects. If your franchise doesn't post jobs, doesn't keep a portfolio of references, or doesn't run marketing campaigns, you can hide those areas across the whole dashboard so they never get in the way.
Where to find it
Open Settings → Objects. You'll see a card per optional object with a description and a toggle.
Available objects
- Jobs — Vacancy postings per location. Enables the Jobs entry under each company's sidebar. See Jobs.
- References — A portfolio of customer references / case studies tied to a company. Enables the References section on company pages.
- Posts — Marketing posts tied to locations. Enables the Marketing → Posts sidebar entry and the per-company posts view.
How toggling works
Switching an object off:
- Hides its sidebar entries and dashboard sections everywhere it appears.
- Does not delete any data — existing jobs, references, or posts are preserved and reappear unchanged when you re-enable the object.
- Removes the object from outgoing payloads (e.g. website builds) until re-enabled.
Switching an object on makes it visible immediately to every member of the account, subject to their role's permissions.
Defaults for new accounts
New accounts start with all three objects off. Enable only what you actually need — it keeps the dashboard focused.
Who can edit
Only account admins see the Objects tab. The toggles affect every member of the account.
