Canceling your subscription

How to cancel, when access ends, and your EU 14-day right of withdrawal

You can cancel your Gridwork subscription at any time. Cancellation is self-serve through Stripe, and access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for.

Only account admins can cancel.

How to cancel

Open Settings → Plan & Billing and click Manage billing. That opens the Stripe customer portal under your account. Choose Cancel plan and confirm.

Your subscription is then set to cancel at period end. Stripe sends a confirmation email, and the Billing tab shows the date your access ends.

What happens until the period ends

Nothing changes immediately. The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing month, and every feature on your plan keeps working as before. You aren't charged again on the next 1st.

If you change your mind during this window, open the portal and click Renew plan. The cancellation is reversed and billing continues normally.

What happens after the period ends

On the day after your period ends, your account drops to the free Starter tier:

  • Core features (companies, locations, employees, services, posts) keep working.
  • Optional features (jobs, references, gallery, and similar add-on modules) are turned off.
  • Paid integrations (Google Ads, Website, Personio, Google Business Profile add-ons) are turned off.
  • Your data is preserved. Nothing is deleted by cancellation alone.

If you re-subscribe later, the optional features and integrations turn back on with the data still in place.

To delete your account and all its data, see Deleting your account. That is a separate, permanent action.

14-day right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you signed up as an EU consumer (a private individual, not a business), you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Art. 246a EGBGB and §§ 355 ff. BGB. The period starts on the day the contract is concluded.

To withdraw, email support@gridwork.app within 14 days with your account email and a clear statement that you withdraw from the contract. We refund any payment made for the current period and end access immediately.

Business customers (B2B) do not have a statutory withdrawal right. In practice, Gridwork is sold to franchise operators and businesses, so most accounts fall under B2B and the consumer withdrawal right does not apply. Cancellation under the standard cancel-at-period-end terms above is always available.

Frequently asked

Do I get a refund for the rest of the month? No. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and you keep full access until then.

Can I cancel a single integration without canceling my plan? Yes. Remove the add-on item in the Stripe portal. The integration turns off on the next 1st; your base plan continues.

What happens to my invoices? Past invoices stay available in the Stripe portal for the legally required retention period.

Will I be reminded before the period ends? Stripe sends a confirmation when you cancel. We do not send a separate reminder before the access end date.
